A Safe Haven for Healing

This isn’t just a practice – it’s a purpose.

At Me in the Making Wellness, we believe that healing is personal – and so is the space where it begins. We created this practice to be a safe haven for people who are tired of carrying it all alone. A space that says, “You’re not broken. You’re in process – and that’s okay.”

For too long, therapy has left our communities out – or asked us to check parts of ourselves at the door. We’re not about that. We’ve created this space to be what we needed: a safe haven for healing, rest, and transformation. A space where you can speak freely, cry if you need to, and be fully seen.

Our Story

Me in the Making began with a simple but powerful idea: everyone deserves support through life’s hardest transitions.

Originally envisioned as a resource for young women transitioning out of foster care – many of who were navigating motherhood, trauma, and survival without tools or proper guidance – the name Me in the Making came to our founder, DaJonese Turner, in a dream. It became more than a name; it became a movement.

The lotus flower became our quiet symbol – because like so many of us, it grows through muddy waters and blooms into something beautiful. Me in the Making understands that life is never linear. We are always evolving, always becoming. And that journey – it deserves support, dignity, and community.

What started as a vision for underserved girls has blossomed into a wellness space for anyone navigating life’s transitions – with care, compassion, and culturally competent support.
